INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 stick butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup mini M&Ms
INGREDIENTS
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add the egg and beat until well combined. Add the vanilla and mix to combine.
3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined. Fold in 3/4 of the mini M&Ms, reserving the rest for the top of the cookies.
4. Chill the dough for at least one hour, or up to 48 hours.
5. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Scoop the dough onto a cookie sheet, using about 2 teaspoons of dough for each cookie. Bake for 6 - 7 minutes. When cookies come out of the oven, immediately press a few M&Ms into the tops of the cookies. Let the cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
